Welcome to the Coatesville Primary School website.

Our school is in the heart of East Bentleigh, Melbourne, Victoria (recently voted Melbourne's most "liveable suburb"). Coatesville Primary School is close to a wide range of excellent pre-school settings, three government secondary colleges (including Bentleigh Secondary College, Cheltenham SC and McKinnon SC), shops, restaurants, a hospital and public transport.

Coatesville's student population is steadily growing.  We are a leading school in Learning and Innovation and attract high performance teachers who are committed to academic excellence within our vibrant community.  Every classroom now has an Interactive Smartboard.  This new technology is at the forefront of 21st Century teaching and learning.  Our parents are to be congratulated on their efforts to raise funds for our "Operation IT" in 2007-2008.  We are now looking forward to a brand new Senior School Playground in 2009.

Coatesville Primary is a candidate school for the Primary Years Program (PYP). This school is pursuing authorisation as an International Baccalaureate World School.  These are schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Coatesville PS believes is important for our students.

 

 

On May 27th, the Mayor of Glen Eira, Councillor Helen Whiteside, visited the School as celebrity story reader for National Simultaneous Storytime.  She read Pete the Sheep to a packed house in the CLIC at 11am along with thousands of other school and public libraries across the country.
